McDermitt - Devil's Gate

One of the most beautiful of the McDermitt locations, as well as a quite distinctive one. These have a rich brown matrix containing delicate flowbanding. The name comes from an unusually narrow area of the canyon on the Quinn River, where some basalt dykes are exposed, eroded into a V shape.
