Spectacular Stein's Pillar Thunderegg with Pink Moss

I trust the classification of this stone as the seller tells me they got it from the owners of the Mill Creek/ Stein's Pillar claim - however, if that wasn't the case I would have been scratching my head over this one. It is a very unusual Stein's Pillar indeed, with an extremely atypical matrix - looking almost Ochoco Mountain to me. However, I am told that the Stein's Pillar area is actually quite wide, so some variation is not so surprising. Anyway - beyond it's unusual qualities . . . what a stone!!! What an amazing and beautiful piece. When I first unpacked it, the "wow"s lasted for some time, I can tell you. That moss is something special - I have never seen a moss quite like it. Note also the submerged crystal cave more or less in the middle in the agate - where a crystal-lined hollow is visible totally drowned in agate. if the cut went through that, it would be a small geode, but instead it is just a wispy ghost frozen in stone. I knew I would come across one of those eventually! The most amazing part of this stone though is that nobody fought me for it on ebay. So not only beautiful but a beautiful bargain! As long as I live, I will never understand thunderegg collectors! :-)
